AUSTIN’S BACKGROUND
& EXPERIENCE
Alongside his work at AP, Austin is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with experience in home health and skilled nursing facilities. He also serves as a Performance Coach Rep for AP’s adjacent software company, Weight Room Coach, where he helps coaches and advanced PE instructors structure and simplify strength and conditioning programs for their student-athletes.
Austin earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marshall University in 2021 after completing his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Ohio Dominican University, where he played linebacker on scholarship and served as a team captain for the Panthers.
A Jackson, Ohio native, Austin was a standout at Jackson High School before taking his game to the collegiate level.
COACHING WITH PURPOSE
& PRECISION
As a Performance Coach at AP since 2014, Austin helps young athletes build the strength, resilience, and attention to detail needed to compete at a high level. He brings a unique mix of experience to AP, including his background as a collegiate linebacker and team captain at Ohio Dominican University, his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and more than a decade of connection with AP Prep itself.
Austin first started training with AP founder Jason Prater at age 14, giving him a long-standing perspective on what it takes to develop athletes from the ground up.
In his own words:
“My coaching style is to focus on the details. I watch the small things, therefore the large things will fall into place.”
